Now having said that, there are still many cowboys operating in this field, people who are more interested in parting you with your hard earned money rather providing best practise solutions to your needs, cheap is not always the best, nor should you entertain any exaggerated claims, or be pressured by agents, touts
I can confidently say there’s only a handful of good dentists on the island, with appropriate training and qualifications, and there’s many offering cheap implants, with an unacceptably high failure rate
Also on the increase, a number of companies outside of Bali trying to promote local dentist with themselves having no local knowledge, with high pressure and offering very poor advice
I have seen one company in particular, stating that should you be squeamish of dental procedures they will happily put you under anaesthesia – there’s very limited circumstances in dentistry where that is necessary,
Not to mention one day turnarounds on 4 on 4, which is absolute rubbish in my opinion –
firstly, should you be a suitable candidate ie, you have ample bone density in your jawline,
be aware dental implants are not immediate – to have any expectation of success you need to allow some months for the appropriate fusion of bone to implant to ensure stability – and of further note, Bali Bright Dental (please do not confuse us with imposters trading off our name) prefers to do 6 0n 6 implants as there’s better stability and high success long term outcomes
Please, please do your research when it comes to Bali, ensure your partitioner has suitable International Standard Qualifications, do ask to see their hygiene systems

How it works for Australian clients – We recommend that you establish a link with the clinic a few months before your Bali departure – with an initial email, whatsapp enquiry, FB message – so we can determine how we can best service your needs, and provide you with an estimate of work needed and costs

A great help to us – If you are able to provide a digital panoramic XRAY of your mouth prior to visit – that’s as simple as seeing your local GP and getting a referral for diagnostic centre – this way we can generate a report, timeline, treatment plan and cost well before your visit – so there’s no ugly surprises for you on your visit
We usually recommend that you allow 7 to 14 days for your visit, day one at clinic is usually reserved for preliminary assessment and commencement of procedure(s).
There may be subsequent days needed for you to attend clinic for continuation of that work and should you need to have prosthetics (temporary) made for your return home – it may take a few days longer to be made and fitted, we try to do this a few days before your return to ensure any problems can be dealt with immediately and things have settled before your flight
A reality is that quality outcomes may take time – and in our quick fix world we live in that fact may not suit some people, do be aware that implants need time to fuse with your jawbone
